This Privacy Policy describes how ArcDev Pty (Ltd) ("ArcDev", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information through the Arc Accuracy platform, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of the Republic of South Africa.
By using Arc Accuracy you consent to the processing of your personal information as described in this policy.

2. Personal Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you register or are registered on the platform, we collect:
- Full name and surname
- Email address
- Password (stored as an irreversible hash — never in plain text)
- Role and team membership within your organisation
2.2 Competitor Information
When competitors are entered into competitions, we collect:
- Full name and surname
- Shooting identification or membership number (where provided)
- Team, unit, or club affiliation
- Competition history, stage results, and aggregate scores
2.3 Usage Information
We automatically collect limited technical data to operate and improve the platform:
- IP address and browser type
- Pages visited and actions taken within the platform
- Session timestamps
2.4 Communication
If you contact us directly, we retain the content of that communication and any contact details provided.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information only for the following purposes:

4.1 Service Providers — Third-party providers who assist in operating the platform (e.g., hosting, email delivery) under binding data-processing agreements that require equivalent protection.
4.2 Legal Requirements — Where disclosure is required by South African law, court order, or regulatory authority.
4.3 Within Your Organisation — Administrators and range officers within your club or organisation may view competitor and scoring data you have entered, consistent with the purpose for which it was collected.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law:
- Account data — retained for the duration of the active licence, plus 12 months after closure to allow for data export or dispute resolution
- Competition and scoring records — retained for a minimum of 5 years, consistent with record-keeping expectations in competitive shooting
- Usage logs — retained for 90 days
You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at [email protected]. Deletion requests are subject to any overriding legal retention obligations.
6. Security
ArcDev implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including:
- Encrypted transmission (TLS/HTTPS) for all data in transit
- Hashed and salted password storage
- Role-based access control within the platform
- Regular security reviews
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify affected parties and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.
7. Your Rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — request erasure of your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations
- Objection — object to processing of your personal information in certain circumstances
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa

Arc Accuracy uses session cookies strictly necessary for platform operation (authentication, CSRF protection). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

The platform may contain links to external websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
10. Children
Arc Accuracy is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor's information has been submitted without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law or our practices. The current version is always available at /privacy-policy. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or in-platform notice.
